Day 2 of Paris trip
The second day in Paris was one of my favorite days of the trip. We found out early in the day that May 1st just happens to be a holiday so everything was closed. We did, however, find out that the town that Vincent Van Gogh, Auvers-sur-Oise, was open and welcoming visitors! We had a little adventure with our first experience on the Metro and trying to communicate. When we got there I was in heaven! The pictures prove my point! We saw the place of his last residence, where he shot himself, and a cathedral that he painted as well as his grave site. We found a great little bakery on the way back to the train station. Later on in the day there were some pretty interesting protests in the streets. Drew thought this was super cool and wanted to sty to watch the action but we opted to leave.
