Day 4 of Paris trip!

The fourth day of Paris was probably the most jam packed day of all! First thing in the morning we went to Le Louvre. It was sooooo big there was no way we could possibly see the whole thing in 1 day, so we picked what we wanted to see the most and did the best we could. In all we spent about 2 hours in the Louvre. We saw the Mona Lisa and the crowned jewels as well as some midieval sections.

Next, we went to the catacombes. "The Catacombes" is a place where bones from nearby cemetaries were relocated to unused quarries because the cemetaries were causing the residents to become ill. The bones were arrainged in rows and throughout the tunnels there are dates and quotes to explain when the bones were put there. Ater we finally emerged from the catacombes we grabbed some lunch crepes and a dessert crepe and ate in a little park were Drew had little finches eating out of his hand!

Finally, we rushed back into the heart of Paris and got in yet another line to see the beautiful stained glass in the cathedral of Saint-Chapelle. It was incredible! We got in at just the right time of day when the sun was lighting up the glass.
