Since Avonell is now 4 years old. I thought I would take some time and tell you more about her! I was so excited to find out we were having another baby. A two year wait almost killed me. I was much more sick with Avonell than I was with Porter. There were days that all I could do was lay very still or suffer the consequences and even then not much was kept down! Needless to say I was happy to be past the first trimester.
At about 23 weeks I starting having some extreme pain that we couldn't figure out. It got bad enought that I thought I was in labor. Come to find out I had a kidney stone and that triggered early labor! That was the first of an exciting time. At 34 weeks I went into labor again and had to be stopped. I was ticked by then!
Finally on June 18th, 2004 at 12:03 am Avonell Celeste came into the world. She was beautiful with tons of hair and a little nose. Too little of a nose in fact. At 5 hours old she was flown via helicopter to a nearby hospital that had a NICU. They figured out on the way that her lungs were just fine because she pulled out her intubation tubes! What a stinker! Once we figured out that her nasal passages were too small she decided to have problems with her billiruben levels and had to be under lights for 3 days. We tease that before she was a week old she had already had a helicopter flight, nose job, and her first tanning session! We were thrilled when we got to bring her home. She was still a stinker thought. She was given a bottle in the NICU and as a consequience she would not nurse until she was 2 months old.
Avonell was named after her Great grandmother Avonell Rappleye who was able to be here in Arizona for Avonell's blessing.
Avonell's favorite color is, can you guess, purple. She loves princesses, reading, and dressing up.
She can be heard across the house when she is eating because her nose wheezes.
She has the silliest of personalities and I love it. She has two giggles one sounds like a little chipmunk and the other sounds like a witch cackling! It is hilarious!
When she was probably 2 or so she would tell her daddy "tickle me! tickle me!".
She loves to sing to mommy. She thinks my favorite song is "twinkle, twinkle, little star" because I can play it on the piano in diffefent variations written by Mozart and she likes to sing along.
What else can I say? My life has changed since the day Avonell came into our family. She is growing up so fast. It makes me sad that she will be off to school next year, but I am so proud of the sweet girl that she is.
I love you so much my precious Avonell Celeste! Happy Birthday!
