Update on Porter's tooth!

For the sake of having to repeat this about a million times I am updating you on the dentist experience! Porter and I made a trip to the dentist yesterday and the prognosis was not good and very expensive. He has a nasty cavity that has gone down into the nerve. So we went back today to get it taken care of. He was very less than thrilled to get a shot in his mouth and after he did get it he wouldn't open his mouth! The doctor looked at me and said he was afraid he might have to send him to a different doctor so they could knock him out for the procedure. I explained to Porter that we could either get this over with now or go to another doctor and get another shot. He was still not happy about it, who would, but he cooperated after that. Long story short he has a silver cap on one if his molars until he loses that tooth in a couple of years. I told him that maybe the tooth fairy would pay more for that tooth and still let him keep it. We of course will not tell daddy that because I can just here him now "we already paid $500 for that tooth I'm not spending another penny!" I'm sure by the time he is 10 and loses that tooth it will be a laughing matter, at least we can hope!
