I have one word to say GUMBO!

Tonight we are having a gumbo night with Drew's family. What is gumbo you might ask!? Well, it is a cross between a soup and a stew. You can make seafood gumbo or chicken and sausage gumbo. I prefer the chicken and sausage kind. On occasion we will batter and fry up some catfish strips, shrimp, and my favorite fried pickles! (Yes, I liked the fried pickles long before I became pregnant!) Drew served his mission in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and was taught this recipe by a true blue through and through cajun. It is awesome and we try to come up with as many excuses we can to make gumbo. It just so happens that his grandma Rappleye is in town so that is our very good excuse tonight! I will try to take pictures of the wonderful event (not so you can be jealous, but so you can share in the experience with us!!!!).
