I haven't uploaded my pictures yet (maybe later this week) but so many cute things were said in our house this last week that I wanted to get them recorded before I forgot!
Monday was meet the teacher. Avonell wouldn't even look at her teacher but Becca had no problem sitting her butt right down in someone else's seat and start coloring! Porter said "Hi" to his new teacher but that was about it! Later that night when we asked him if he liked his teacher he said "why? What do you mean?" with a super panicked look on his face! We had to re-phrase and ask if he thought she would be a good teacher and he said yes. I think he already has a crush on her!
Monday was also another doctor's appointment. Everything looks good. Baby is healthy and happy. I have not progressed since last appointment so the doc was happy about that. He said that if everything looks good at my next appointment which is the 24th then we can ease up on the bed rest.
Tuesday was the first day of school. I walked the kids to their classes. Porter didn't even say good-bye and Avonell had to be reminded to! The minute we walked out the door Becca was saying "where's Porter and Avonell?" She said it 4 times before we even got to the car! She would ask about Avonell and then say "but I need her" or she would ask about Porter and then say "oh, he's waiting for me?". It just about broke my heart!! She's adjusted a little better since then and has enjoyed being an only child for a couple of hours during the day. We even re-started potty training. So maybe, just maybe we can be done before Samantha Jane gets here. The kids had happy report of their first day. Porter got to do his math that he has been looking forward to. Avonell came home and said that Teancum, her buddy that's in her church class, was so happy to see her that he gave her a hug and a kiss right on the lips! So big day for Avonell, first day of school and first kiss too! I guess his parents sat down with him to explain that we only kiss people we really love and he said "But I do really love her!" Someone asked him if he was going to kiss Avonell again and he said "no, papa said I'm not supposed to".
We set up the cradle in our room yesterday and the kids just couldn't get enough of it! Becca came running in this morning and went straight to the cradle. She looked at me pretty confused and said "where's baby Samantha?" I have a feeling this little girl is going to be smothered from day one!
That was our exciting week in a nutshell! Hopefully pictures will be posted this week!
